Welcome to China! You'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Rest after your journey. Altitude: 800m.

Visit Yellow River Mother Statue and Baitashan Park for panoramic views of Lanzhou. Drive 5 hours to Zhangye. Dinner and overnight in Zhangye.

Visit Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park with its colorful rock formations. After lunch, drive to Jiayuguan Pass - the first pass at the western end of the Great Wall, built during Ming Dynasty. See Jiayuguan Tower.

Drive 4 hours to Dunhuang. Visit Mogao Grottoes - world's largest Buddhist art site. See Echoing Sand Mountain and Crescent Spring (the "First Spring in the Desert"). Enjoy local cuisine for dinner.

Drive 2 hours to Liuyuan Station. Take bullet train D575 (16:32-19:54) to Turpan. Our guide will meet you at station. Enjoy Xinjiang cuisine for dinner. Overnight in Turpan.

Visit Gaochang Ancient City and Astana Tombs. Explore Tuyoq Valley - oldest Uygur village in Xinjiang with 300-year-old buildings. See Flaming Mountain with its red rock formations. Dinner and overnight in Turpan.

Visit 2,300-year-old Jiaohe Ancient Ruins. See Karez Well underground irrigation system (one of China's three great ancient projects). Visit Su Gong Minaret. After lunch, drive 3 hours to Urumqi. Dinner and overnight.

Drive 1.5 hours to Heavenly Lake (5A scenic spot). Take shuttle bus and battery car to lakeside. Lunch at Tianshan Mountain foothills. Return to Urumqi. Visit International Grand Bazaar for Xinjiang culture and cuisine.
