Welcome to Kashgar! We will meet you at the airport and stay in Kashgar hotel overnight.

Drive along Karakoram Mountains to Taxkorgan County. Visit White Sand Lake with blue waters and snow-white sand. See Muztag Glacier Park. Overnight in Taxkorgan.

Visit Golden Grassland and Stone Fortress. Explore Karakul Lake at foot of Muztag Peak ("Father of Glaciers"). See Tajk ethnic herders. Return to Kashgar for overnight.

See Kashgar Ancient City opening ceremony. Visit Khan Bazaar, Oil Painting Street. Enjoy tea at century-old teahouse. See Id Kah Mosque (Xinjiang's largest) and Xiangfei Garden. Evening flight to Urumqi.

Drive 1.5 hours to Heavenly Lake (5A scenic spot). Take shuttle bus and battery car to lakeside. After visiting, return to Urumqi. Visit Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar for local cuisine and culture.

Drive to Turpan ("Fire State"), passing salt lake and wind power station. Visit Tuyoq Village (oldest Uygur village in Xinjiang) in Flaming Mountain Canyon. See Jiaohe Ancient Ruins (UNESCO World Heritage).

Visit Karez Well underground irrigation system (one of China's three great ancient projects). See Su Gong Pagoda (built 1778) and adjacent mosque. Take bullet train to Dunhuang. Overnight in Dunhuang.

Visit Mogao Grottoes ("Thousand Buddha Caves") with 735 caves, 45,000 sqm frescoes, 2,415 clay sculptures. World's largest Buddhist art site. Fly to Xi'an. Transfer to hotel.

Visit Terracotta Warriors Museum ("Eighth Wonder of the World") with nearly 10,000 life-sized soldiers. See Grand Tang City scenic spot displaying Tang Dynasty culture.

Visit Giant Wild Goose Pagoda (built by monk Xuanzang for Buddhist scriptures). See Bell and Drum Tower Square. Explore Muslim Bazaar for local cuisine. Overnight in Xi'an.
