Day2 One-day tour in Beijing: Tian'anmen Square → Forbidden City → Jingshan → Shichahai / Nanluoguxiang-mosque
Visit the flag-raising ceremony at Tian'anmen Square, then head to the Forbidden City. After the tour, head to Shichahai + Yanbaixi Street. And to a mosque .Walk around Nanluoguxiang to enjoy snacks and take photos. After the tour, return to the hotel. BLD Beijing
Day3 Beijing/Xi'an (Train time: 07:55 - 12:05)
Today we will take a high speed train from Beijing to Xian After picking up at Xi'an, we will take a bus to Lintong to visit Huaqing Pool. Then, we will visit the Xi'an Hui Ethnic Community - Gaojia Community. It was built during the Ming Dynasty and is the former residence of the Qing Dynasty's top scholar, Gao Yuesong. In the evening, we will visit the Tang Dynasty Unfading City, where you can take part in various fun parades and street performances that will leave you spellbound. We will also visit the North and South Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the popular Dajue town, The night tour ends and we will take a bus back to the hotel! BLD Xian
Day4 Xi'an/Lanzhou (Reference train departure time: 20:30 - 23:33)
After breakfast, visit the largest mosque in Xi'an - Hua Jue Lane Mosque. It was built during the Tang Dynasty and is one of the largest and best-preserved mosques in China. It is a national key cultural relic protection unit. Tour the largest music fountain square in Asia - the North Square of the Great Wild Goose Pagoda and the Bell and Drum Tower Square. The famous Fan Shang food culture street of Hui Min Street(Hala food street) will be visited according to the train departure time and then transferred to Lanzhou for pick-up and accommodation at the hotel. Day5 Lanzhou - Zhangye Colorful Danxia - Zhangye
After breakfast, we set off after visiting the Xiguan Islamic Grand Mosque in Lanzhou and take a bus to Zhangye to visit the Danxia Geopark of Zhangye, which was rated as one of the "Top Ten Wondrous Geographical Wonders of the World" by National Geographic of the United States. (Including the shuttle bus). It is called "the palette of the earth", and it is one of the rare places with water-like red color. It doesn't have the scenery like the blue sea, green mountains and grasslands in the plateau, but it has picturesque scenes. It is the only area in China where the Danxia landform and colorful hill scape are highly combined. It is amazing with its magnificent气势， rich forms and colorful hues， and has extremely high ornamental value and important scientific research value. Day6 Zhangye - Jiayuguan Fort - Desert Art Base - Dunhuang
After breakfast, we set off from Zhangye. Between the Qilian Mountains and the Black Mountains lies the ancient Jiayuguan, the terminus of the Great Wall. Experience the solitary and imposing fort, and imagine the past battles with spears and swords. Head to the Jiayuguan Fort (only including the first ticket to the scenic area, excluding the small transportation within the scenic area). This place is called "The World's First Magnificent Fort". Ascend the city wall of Jiayuguan and look afar at the Great Wall like a dragon floating in the vast desert, with the snow-covered Qilian Mountains stretching to the horizon. We will follow the footsteps of Lin Zexu and Zuo Zongtang to leave the city wall of Jiayuguan and look back at the magnificent fort on the vast desert. The grandeur of the northwest will come to you.
After lunch, we head to Dunhuang. Along the way, we visit Guazhou Desert Art Base, with the main popular spots including 【Son of the Earth】, the Mirage - No Boundaries, etc. (Special note: Currently free. Day7 Dunhuang - Mogao Caves - Ming sha(sound sand) Mountain and Yueya Spring - Dunhuang
After breakfast, according to the reserved time for the Mogao Caves visit, we will visit the treasure house of human art - Mogao Caves. Mogao Caves is also known as "Thousand Buddha Caves" and is the most valuable repository of human art. It is hailed as the most valuable cultural discovery of the 20th century and the "Eastern Louvre". It is located in the western end of the Hexi Corridor in Dunhuang, famous worldwide for its exquisite murals and statues. After the visit, we will have lunch. After lunch, we will visit Ming sha Mountain and Yueya Spring. (This includes the first entrance ticket of the scenic area, but does not include small transportation, and small transportation is not mandatory.) Yueya Spring is located within the embrace of Mingsha Mountain and its shape resembles a crescent moon, hence its name. This spring is very rare in the desert and has remained clear and undisturbed for thousands of years. Day8 Dunhuang - Heidu Mountain - Red Rose Mountain - Dachaidan Jade Lake - Dachaidan
After breakfast, head to Heidu Mountain, a less-known scenic spot. As it has not been developed yet, it is a mysterious and untouched paradise. The mountains are black and gray, resembling a splashed ink landscape painting, preserving the most primitive and original beauty - desolate, cold and lonely, as if it were an independent and secluded otherworldly planet. Then, visit Red Rose Mountain (appearance) and after the tour, head to Dachaidan Jade Lake (only including the first entrance ticket of the scenic area, no small transportation, and the small transportation is not mandatory). It is a natural beauty formed due to the rich salt content. These varying depths of salt pools are like pieces of crystal-clear jade. The lake water is clear and blue under the sunlight, resembling jade, thus it is named Jade Lake. The color of the Jade Lake and the mineral concentration in the lake as well as the weather conditions are related. The color of the Jade Lake will vary at different times. Day9 Dachaidan - 315U Type Highway (passing through Chuguan) - Dongtai (remote viewing) - Waterland Yadan - Tachak
After breakfast, we will take a bus to visit the famous U-shaped highway (by car viewing). Due to the road surface dancing along the undulating terrain, it seems like a road reaching towards the sky, and is called "the Chinese version of Highway 66". Then, we will take the bus to visit Dongtai Jining Lake (remote viewing). Subsequently, we will arrive at Wusute Waterland Yadan (only including the first ticket, no interval bus). Wusute Waterland Yadan Geological Park is a place with waterland Yadan landform. Due to the uplift of the Jining Lake surface, the northern Yadan group was gradually submerged, forming a unique waterland Yadan. Inside the park, from the bright morning sky to the setting sun, everything is like a dream. The sunlight shines on the waterland Yadan, making it golden in color. The stone pillars and reflections feel as if they have risen to the halfway point in the air, like a suspended magical castle. After the tour, we will head to Tachak for dinner. Day10 Tachak Salt Lake - Qinghai Lake - Xining
After breakfast, take a bus to visit the famous and popular place - Tachak Salt Lake (only including the first ticket, no self-service fees within the scenic area). It is like a dreamy magic mirror on the earth, embedded in the embrace of the Qaidam Basin, with its extraordinary and otherworldly beauty, causing every soul that encounters it to tremble. Step into this magical salt lake, the salt layer under your feet is as smooth as a mirror, shining under the gentle touch of the sunlight, complementing the azure sky like a precious gem above. At this moment, heaven and earth seamlessly blend, the boundaries disappear, making one feel as if stepping into an endless dreamland. After the tour, head to the Erlongjian Scenic Area of Qinghai Lake (the largest saltwater lake in China's inland area) (only including the first ticket, no scenic area shuttle bus). It is known as "a tear on the earth". The blue lake water, merging with the sky, stretches for thousands of acres, in the distant place where the water meets the sky, there are snow-capped mountains, and beneath your feet is green grassland, ingeniously forming a breathtaking picture. Qinghai Lake has different landscapes throughout the year, and every season can be experienced to feel the different beauty of this highland sacred lake. Day11 Xining/Shanghai: Arrive in Shanghai by plane. It is recommended to take an early flight.
The Bund → Nanjing Road → Yu Garden → Lujiazui → Night view
After arriving in Shanghai and being picked up, head to the Bund to admire the international architecture, take pictures of the Huangpu River, stroll along the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, buy snacks, visit Yu Garden / City God Temple, explore the gardens, and enjoy small steamed buns. Cross the river to Lujiazui to view the Oriental Pearl (pay for the tower climb, free for panoramic photos), take the滨江步道： enjoy the river breeze， take panoramic photos (free)， view the night view of the Bund，and visit small peach garden mosque and then return to the hotel for rest.
